Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Abia State, Chief Friday Nwosu who last week left his former party for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has seen his support group defected en masse to the latter party.

The list of the support groups which members defected to APC include Friends of FN Nwosu group, Future is Bright group, Voice of Abia, The Ikpeghebeghi Group, Team FN group,  Ofuruiche Women, and Ofuruiche Youths Groups.

Addressing members of the group at his Mgboko Umuoria country home in Obingwa Local Government, Nwosu said it was heartening to know that all his support groups have left PDP, a party he said is fraught with lack of internal democracy and impunity, en masse.

He described APC as the party that will liberate Abians from the shackles of political enslavement which PDP he said has put it into over the years.

Receiving the decampees, the APC Chairman in Obingwa, Chief Chinedu Ihesiulo said Chief Nwosu joining APC was one of the best things to have happened to the party in the area and Abia State in general in recent times.

Ihesiulo equally commended the support groups of Nwosu for following him en masse to APC and for not abandoning him all the while he was in court seeking justice.

He told the people that APC was now set to vote out the PDP government in Abia State with chief Nwosu aka (Ikpeghebeghi) and his numerous supporters and followers now in the party.
